The Start

by Nathan

I am so tired but I am super excited. I always wanted a way to tell more people about how I feel about you. How I love that you're super tiny and I think of you as the tiniest lil CEO of life and you're absolutely killing it. Sorry this first post isn't that great. It's really late and I've been working on this for like 5 hours now. But there will be more, I promise. But now I am getting ready to go to bed

Notes about this translation

you're absolutely killing itla estás rompiendo por completo

"killing it" is casual English for doing something really well, nailing it. There's no exact Mexican equivalent that's as light, so I went with "la estás rompiendo", which is the closest everyday way of saying someone is crushing it without sounding formal.

the tiniest lil CEO of lifela CEO más pequeñita de la vida

"lil" is the relaxed spoken shortening of "little", and CEO stays as CEO since it's used that way in Mexico too. The joke is the mismatch between being physically tiny and being the boss of everything; that part carries fine.

super tinysúper chiquita

In English "tiny" here is plainly affectionate. "Chiquita" is the natural Mexican pick — cariñoso without being sappy. "Pequeña" would have sounded flat and a bit clinical.

this first posteste primer post

"Post" is left as is, since that's what people actually say in Mexico for something written online. "Publicación" would sound like a press release.
